Have you ever seen something on your screen and wanted to copy it?  There is a great program called “JING”.  It is easy to use and best of all, it’s free!

They do have a pro version, but for my needs, the free version works great.

You can also produce videos with it.

I will let you in on another secret; if you have Windows 7, they have a free program built in called “the snipping tool“.  It works just like Jing.

Do you know that there are thousands of webcams all over the Internet that show some beautiful scenery?  Some are updated every second, while others are updated every 10 minutes.  Many of the National Parks have these webcams.  You can watch the sunrise over Rocky Mountain National Park.

The reason for this post is to tell you about a great free software package that you can download and install on your computer.  What it does is take the feed from a webcam and makes that your wallpaper.  You can set which webcam you want to view as well as how often you want it to update. 

It was written by Werner Software and it is called Webcam Wallpaper

I have been using it now for about 6 months and it has never crashed.  I love it!

Today is John James Audobons 226 birthday.  Audobon is best know for the amazing paintings he created of American birds.  His book is composed of a collection of 435 prints.

It is amazing that the Audobon Society was not created by Audobon, but by a student of Audobon’s wife, George Bird Grinnell.  The Audobon Society protects birds and their habitats around the world.

Audobon came from adversity to offer the world an incredible glimpse of birds through his eyes.

If you would like to see some beautiful scenery and have children in your family, then you will love the new movie African Cats.  It is rated G and was filmed with a young audience in mind.

I watched it last weekend and loved the landscape.

Are you tired of listening to music that you don’t like?  Well, there is an internet music service that will play only what you want it to play.  You can create as many of your own radio “stations” that you like. 

The service is called Pandora.  I have been using them for about 2 years now.  They are amazing.  You start by letting Pandora know what music you like and it goes out and finds music that is similar to it.  You can tell it if you like a song or not.  If you don’t like it, you give it a thumbs down and Pandora won’t play it again.

It learns from you telling it what songs you like. 

Finally, a radio station that only plays songs that you like!
